Enrolment Statistics

The population numbers that are given in these statistics are the Statistics New Zealand provisional electoral estimates as at 30 June 2010 based on the 2006 Census.

More information on Statistics New Zealand population estimates can be found on their website.

The general enrolment figures refer to the number of electors registered on the general electoral roll for that electorate.

The Māori enrolment figures refer to the number of electors registered on the Māori electoral roll who live within each general electorate.

There are no separate statistics for the Māori electorates as these have been included with the corresponding general electorate statistics.

These statistics can also be viewed, broken down by local councils, here.
