General Description
The Coromandel electorate comprises the communities of the Coromandel Peninsula and Hauraki Plains. It includes Thames, Paeroa, Waihi, Te Aroha and Katikati, and the northern part of the Western Bay of Plenty District.
Summary of Reasons
The existing Coromandel electorate is stable but loses population to Bay of Plenty The boundary with Piako has therefore been moved south to include Te Aroha and its surrounding area.
