General Description
The East Coast Bays electorate on the northern edge of the Auckland metropolitan area extends from the mouth of the Okura River in the north to the industrial area of Glenfield in the south. It includes the communities of Torbay, Long Bay and Pinehill (east of State Highway 1), and North Harbour (west of State Highway 1).
Summary of Reasons
East Coast Bays is 13% over quota and the population is increasing relative to quota. To bring this electorate within quota the areas of Bayview and Witherford Heights have been transferred to Helensville.
