General Description
The Mangere electorate extends from the Mangere Inlet around the eastern shore of Manukau Harbour to Puhinui Creek. It includes the communities of Mangere East, Mangere Bridge, Favona and Ihumatao, and also includes Auckland International Airport.
Summary of Reasons
The existing Mangere electorate is 12% over quota. The area of Hospital Road east of Middlemore Hospital and the area west of the railway line and south of Aorere College across to Papatoetoe West School have been transferred to Manukau East.
