General Description
The Otaki electorate is located on the southwest coast of the North Island and comprises the communities of Paraparaumu, Waikanae, Otaki, Levin, Shannon, Foxton, Foxton Beach and Kapiti Island.
Summary of Reasons
The existing Otaki electorate did not of itself require change. However, the changes made in neighbouring Mana resulted in a corresponding change to this electorate in the area of Paraparumu to the east of the highway and railway line. The resultant electorate population is 0.4% below quota.
