General Description
The Pakuranga electorate covers an area on the shores of the lower Tamaki River, and includes the communities of Glen Innes, Panmure, Pakuranga, Halfmoon Bay and Bucklands Beach.
Summary of Reasons
The existing Pakuranga electorate is 5% above quota. It gains all the suburbs of Glenn Innes, Pt England and Panmure from Tamaki and Sylvia Park from Maungakiekie. An additional area of Burswood moves to this electorate from Manukau East. To compensate, the eastern suburbs of Highland Park, Howick, Cockle Bay and Mellons Bay have been transferred to the additional electorate named Howick.
