The Palmerston North electorate comprises Palmerston North City, including the suburbs of Cloverlea, Milson, and Kelvin Grove.
Summary of Reasons
The electorate of Palmerston North is slightly under quota tolerance at -6% and declining relative to quota. Additional urban population is available from Rangitikei. The Commission has chosen to include both urban areas of Kelvin Grove and Milson in the electorate. A compensatory adjustment is the movement of the area south of the Manawatu River into the Rangitikei electorate. Palmerston North is now wholly an urban electorate.
