General Description
The Rodney electorate comprises most of the Rodney District, and includes Dairy Flat and Whangaparaoa in the south, and Kaipara Flats and Leigh in the north. It also includes Kawau Island and Tiritiri Matangi Island.
Summary of Reasons
The existing Rodney is 8% over quota and the projected population is increasing strongly relative to quota. The excess population in Rodney has been moved into Northland electorate.
