General Description
The Rongotai electorate comprises the communities of Newtown, Island Bay, Lyall Bay, Hataitai, Kilbirnie, and the Miramar Peninsula. This electorate includes also Chatham Island and Pitt Island.
Summary of Reasons
The Rongotai electorate is 1% under quota, so no change was necessary. However with its only neighbour Wellington Central being well over quota, Rongotai has been expanded to include the area surrounding Wellington Hospital.
