General Description
The Tamaki Makaurau electorate comprises Auckland City, a large part of Waitakere City and Manukau City incorporating part of the Manurewa ward of Manukau City.
Summary of Reasons
The existing Tamaki Makaurau electorate is at the upper end of the quota range and projected to remain so through to 2011. However, the changes made to electorates to the south to address quota shortfall necessitates a movement of population into Pare Hauraki-Pare Waikato (formally Tainui). The Commission has made the change at the southern part of Manurewa east of the motorway.
