General Description
The Wigram electorate comprises the suburbs to the south of Christchurch and includes the suburbs of Russley, Hornby, Broomfield, Hillmorton, Islington, Sockburn, Riccarton, Addington, Hoon Hay and Spreydon.
Summary of Reasons
The suburbs of Addington and Hoon Hay have been included in Wigram to balance the loss of Sydenham and Beckenham to the new Banks Peninsula electorate. This also assists with balancing the population in Christchurch Central.
