Third Party returns - Election '08
Third Party election expense returns for Election '08, which were due with the Electoral Commission by Tues 10 Mar '09, are available for inspection online here and at the Electoral Commission's offices at L5, Featherston House, cnr Waring Taylor and Featherston Streets, Wellington, between 9am and 4pm on weekdays.
The table, below and available for download as an Excel file in the right hand panel of this page, lists all third parties required to provide returns of election expenses and donations. The table advises the date each return was received as duly completed, and provides summary data extracted from the returns which are available for download in the right hand panel. Returns will also be available as downloadable Excel workbooks once all returns have been received. This page will be updated as duly completed returns are accepted, with recent changes indicated by a bold entry in the duly completed received column. The date of last update is noted at the bottom of the right hand panel.
Links to the guidance provided to third parties on returnable election expenses and donations (which includes an overview of offence provisions under the law) and to other related material are also provided in the right hand panel.
Readers of these returns with questions about the content of any should first seek explanation from the third party or parties concerned before raising matters with the Electoral Commission. Contact information for third parties is available via the list of third parties, available in the right hand panel.
In the date of receipt column of the table: "(P)" indicates provisional acceptance pending arrival of the hard copy of a return supplied by electronic means; "incomplete" means some material has been received but is not yet acceptable as duly completed; and a blank cell means nothing has been received as at the date of update.
Please note that you may need to scroll down your page to see the wide table. You may prefer to use the Excel download version in the right hand panel.
